Pioneer Primary School is a primary school located in Jurong West, Singapore, at the junction of Jurong West Street 81 and 82.



  • The school started in January 1995 at the current Juying Primary School building in Jurong West Street 91.
  • 4 months later, in May 1995, it moved to its current site in Jurong West Street 81.
  • In 2007 and 2008, the school building was rebuilt and the school upgraded under the Programme for Rebuilding and Improving Existing schools. During this period, the school function temporarily at former Jurong Primary School building.
  • In 2009, the school resumed operations at the rebuilt school building at the original site in Jurong West Street 81.


  • The original uniform consisted of a green collar and yellow cloth, with school logo at the pocket, together with a tie. The PE tshirt consisted of a yellow cloth, collarless, school logo print at the right chest area and school name print at the back, in green. The PE shot and uniform shot is green but of different materials.
  • In 2004, the colour strip is added to the uniform. Each level is distincted with an individual colour. the strip is located on top of the pocket.
  • In 2006, the tie component of the uniform is removed. The prefect tie is replaced with collar badge.
  • In 2008, the colour strip is replace with name tag. The individual color for each level remain the same.
  • In 2009, the school PE tshirt is revamp. The new t-shirt is a white dry-fit shirt with yellow cut at the side. The school logo remain at the same position and the school name is still at the back, but change to black font and the style is change. The PE shot colour is change to black.

The Chinese name for this school(先驱小学) is the same as that of Frontier Primary School(先锋小学), when translated into English.[1]
