ITE College West (ITE CW) is a vocational institute and a name of the former ITE West Network division of the Institute of Technical Education. In 2010, a single campus was built in the new town of Choa Chu Kang and replaced its five smaller network campuses as part of ITE's "One ITE System, Three Colleges" plan.
There were five 5 network campuses in ITE College West.
- ITE College West (Dover Campus)
- ITE College West (Balestier Campus) (Did not merge with new campus, becomes part of College Central)
- ITE College West (Ang Mo Kio Campus)
- ITE College West (Bukit Batok Campus)
- ITE College West (Clementi Campus)
Movement of ITE Full-Time Higher Nitec and Nitec courses in 2010 Edit
ITE’s second comprehensive campus, the New ITE College West at Choa Chu Kang, begun operations in July 2010.
With the development of the new ITE College at Choa Chu Kang, courses and campuses are consollidated among the three ITE Colleges. ITE’s Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Bukit Batok, Clementi and Dover campuses will be closed and the courses conducted in these campuses were transferred to the New ITE College West at Choa Chu Kang. Under this rationalisation of courses, some courses conducted at the Balestier and Yishun campuses will also be transferred to the new College.
New campus at Choa Chu Kang Edit
As part of the "One ITE System, Three Colleges" plan, a 9.54-hectare site at the junction of Bukit Batok Road and Choa Chu Kang Way has been allocated for the new ITE College West campus. It will operate three schools - the School of Business and Services, School of Engineering and School of Info-Comm Technology. It will have training facilities catering to the retail, hospitality and automotive industry. The new campus was completed in June 2010 and opened in July 2010.
Facilities will be similar or better of those at the ITE College East campus.
